Retreat at Santa Sabina

Due to the current world situation, all retreats have moved online. We are hoping to return to Santa Sabina, possibly by Fall 2021 or Spring 2022. If this changes, we’ll let you know! Watch our newsletter for announcements. Meanwhile, register for the next Online 3-day Retreat here!

Retreat creates a space to deepen into the stillness of being. It is a container for the silence which permeates 4 days of moving profoundly and gently within. There are periods of meditation, talks by Jon and an opportunity to dialogue with him one-on-one. You will also have ample free time to be in nature, take walks and rest. It is a gathering of about 60 people, many of whom return often to experience the power of awakening of the heart.

Santa Sabina is an enchanting retreat center that was once a monastery. There are beautiful gardens, a contemplative courtyard and chapel, and delicious healthy cuisine. Jon is usually on-site the entire retreat and is present throughout each day for many periods of silent sitting and satsang and often has meals with the group as well.

The retreat begins at check-in at 5pm on Thursday and ends on Sunday at about 1pm. We ask that you commit to on-site attendance for the entire retreat.

Lodging and meals cost: $529 (double room)

If you get a message saying the retreat is sold out, please email us at There may be one or two spaces still available.

If you are traveling from outside the area, you can take the Marin Airporter shuttle bus from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to 1081 Andersen Drive in San Rafael. (It no longer stops at the San Rafael downtown transit hub.) The cost one way per person is about $23 (cash or local check only; credit cards can be used if you purchase a ticket online beforehand). The Andersen Drive stop has restrooms and indoor seating. The shuttle bus drive will ask passengers if they require a taxi as they board. The retreat center is about an 11 minute taxi/Uber/Lift ride from the drop-off spot in San Rafael.

We are vastness itself. Freedom is the realization that we are that. ~Jon
