Retreats provide an important opportunity to deepen into the stillness of being while setting aside the tasks of daily life. While sitting meditation and satsang are an integral part of Jon’s retreats, participants are also given ample free time to relax into nature, take walks, and have unstructured time. Jon says, “On retreat, what before was really subtle can suddenly become much more obvious. What happens on retreat at an energetic level facilitates getting to the truth of our experience. I invite you to utilize the environment energetically. It’s a powerful working field.”

Jon presently offers two residential retreats per year. These three-night silent retreats are held at Santa Sabina Retreat Center in San Rafael.

In addition to the three night retreats, Jon will occassionally schedule one-day retreats at different locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. All currently scheduled retreats, with sign-up information, are listed below.

Letters from retreat participants

Dear Jon,

You are a very special, gifted teacher. The tenderness, openness, and transformation that I witness in your students is a testament to what you embody and transmit. I’m very touched watching you work. The format of these retreats is really powerful and profound. Thank you for the self-exploration you have done and for the way you offer those fruits in the world.

With love,

Megan Cowan

The retreat was full, rich, insightful . . . with overflowing tears that came up from I have no idea where.   As always I love, love, love Jon’s sense of humor!    ~Tara
